Gen v gt auto dump pipe fitting?

Postby joseph.78 » Thu Aug 20, 2015 2:31 pm

Looking into putting a invidia dump pupe on my car the dump pipe is 3 inch and the stock piping after that is 2 1/2 inch. Curious what people have done to correct this i am assuming putting some sort of cone to reduse the size near the flange?
Also is the invidia a good product?

Gen V or do you mean Gen IV? (What year?)

You can just bolt it up straight to the existing mid-pipe even though the sizes don't match.
It's not ideal, but it will still be an improvement over the stock dump pipe.
This is what I have, as I haven't decided on mid-pipe/y-pipe and muffler combination yet.

I did mean gen 5.
As i am not planning to change the mid section i would like it to fit properly.
Also am considering avo any opinions?
They do have an adaption plate to go between the 2 different pipe sizes.
Avo is 195 cell the invidia is 100 cell.

Grimmspeed have an adapter that smooths the transition from 3" downpipe to stock cat-back.
