after over an hour trailing through all the clips etc I'm confused..so here is a sprightly question
I want a better note but NO DRONING inside the cabin at all ( been there and done that,over it).
I don't mind quads or singles so what are my choices?

No aftermarket muffler will drone on the stock exhaust.
Once you change the rest of the exhaust to 3" for example - majority of aftermarket options will drone and you'd need a sizeable mid muffler to keep them quiet. Stock sti quads would be the quietest option, as well as retrofitted wrx quads (if you search the forum).

Hi chaps,
Would a 2006 GT STI system fit into the 3.0RB wagon? There is a centre section and mufflers available but need to know if they'll fit mine?

If you just want a bit of noise without drone change the mufflers and leave the rest. The 2006 sti mufflers will fit yours (wagon to wagon)
