Hi.

I am planning to get a catback exhaust with 2.5" piping. I have read that stock is 2.25". Will there be a a loss of power because of the set-up? 2.5i NA here.

I wouldn't go for a 2.5" piping with a NA engine. I'd say you'd lose a little bit of response/power going to such a large diameter, just stick with 2.25"

+1. It will just be all noise going bigger. If you want to increase the sports sound, change your muffler.

Thank you for both your inputs. I've read the same in all the forums I've been to. Would definitely stay with my stock piping and just change the muffler then. Would that be better?

Better in terms of more of a sports sound, but do not expect any noticeable power increase.

Had the full exhaust put on today, finally! My Liberty now has XForce reso and muffler with custom piping. Had to wait for 7 hours though but it was worth it. I love how the exhaust sounds now, a bit generic but I love the deep tone. Credits to Prestige Exhaust here in Perth.
