Hi ive got a 2008 gt tuned by sti liberty that im looking at getting an exhaust on. Any suggestions and videos would be great as im worried about an auto sounding crappy compared to a manual or is there no real difference

Not to worry. Since both the auto and the manual have the same engine, they sound the same.

the worst bit of exhaust on autos is the gear change, but no avoiding that. enjoy what you have

I would leave it as is.
Only way to go would be the K2 Gear cat back.
At around $2900 delivered through Japan Parts - (Garage 88 can probably do better) its an expensive one!
No drone reported though on autos and this is a big thing to avoid.

I`ve got that exhaust with the dump as well. Sound is good especially on gear shifts. Slight drone but its a wagon

Xforce 3" catback is fine
Xforce 3" dump pipe does NOT fit around the auto sump

I got the 3inch xforce cat back put on today and sounds absolutely awesome. No drone and nice and deep. Very happy

I'm running an Invidia down pipe, AVO mid pipe and Mangaflow mufflers.
Sound is not too loud but barks up when you push the loud pedal, and no drone.

Will up load sound clips once my tune is done. I had a 3 inch dump pipe fitted today. Ended up having to buy a bell mouth dump head and then having to basically customize a whole new dump. sounds great tho. Much throatier and sweet turbo noise!

Ive got a ss Invidia DP to suit auto and an Ultrex cat back ss system. Cost me $1450 plus fitting. Sounds nice once carboned up. But Im considering adding a resi to reduce the note a bit more again. Only coz I want a more milder sound. But my exhaust is by no means loud or droney. Having unequal length headers helps with that.

Total cost for mine was 1250 fitted. Pretty happy with how it sounds. How did yours feel after the exhaust was all done before the tune? Mines being done Saturday. feels a bit sluggish at the moment

Are you referring to me? If so, I drove the car sedate until the tune was redone. The car will feel boggy until your tuner can work his magic.
