Evening guys,

I've been researching exhaust manifolds a bit lately but can't find any definitive answers.

I'm wanting to know the differences between manifolds, differences between WRX vs Legacy manifolds, JDM vs USDM manifolds, what are/aren't interchangeable etc?

Also if anyone knows which model WRX downpipes are compatible with JDM Legacy's that'd be a big help aswell!

im not sure if perhaps oil filter placement/ size changes piping has to dodge that
Also if you have a twin scroll setup your piping will be different

As far as I'm aware they're all the same place/size but I could be wrong....

Main reason I'm asking is I'm looking at buying a set of Tomei Headers and a Tomei catted downpipe, however they don't have fitments for Legacys (Only WRX's/STI's as usual ). Wanting to know which manifolds from STI's are bolt on's to the JDM Legacys.

As far as I'm aware the GRB STI's downpipes are compatible and GBD manifolds are compatible.... Can anyone confirm this? Cheers.

I was reading this the other day, however they all have USDM Legacy's, hence the reason I asked about the ISDM vs JDM manifolds.

they reckon a fair few people chuck in a jdm block and reuse their usdm exhaust manifold so you should be good
