MY07 GT-B 2.5L Exhaust

Looking at getting exhaust & tune in the near future and trying to decide on what to get. After something with a decent note that has a nice low rumble when in low revs/cruising and a bit of a bark when you put your foot down. Don't want anything over the top that will be too loud/droney or attract the Policia.

From reading various threads and listening to sound clips i've narrowed it down to the following:

- Tcp turbo back exhaust > One clip i've found sounds perfect but unsure if it will be too loud?
- Tcp dump & mid into into stock mufflers > Stock mufflers might keep noise down a bit and look stealth, unsure if they will restrict flow or be too quiet?
- Tcp dump + stock mid + Tcp quads > Unsure if mid will restrict flow and what effect it would have on noise?

Stock mufflers are extremely restrictive. If I was you I'd go the last option. If it's too quiet you can always slap on a mid pipe

Replacing them would be lucky to get you 5kW, or somewhere around a 3% power gain. That doesn't indicate that they're severely restrictive...

3" tbe with center hotdog res can be droney on cruise so going for an oval mid muff is the best solution esp if going perfoance muffs eg tcp.

I have an Invidia dump with s/s Ultrex 3" from the dump back into single tip mufflers. Once carboned up, the noise is quite moderate. No drone. Got a real rexy rumble to it. If that is too loud, I would get a hotdog resi fitted to remove more of the noise.

Apparently not a performance restriction till after 200 atw according to MSR iirc. And very quiet.

Hot dog center may be a little more bearable on a sedan, sedans suppress nvh to a greater degree compared to wagons, OP didn't specify.

Any suggestions on a mid muff? Forgot to mention it is a Sedan.

Sounds good, any sound clips, how long did it take to carbon up?

Bought the xforce mid/y pipe from bestmufflers.com, but looks like they don't sell the mid/y pipe by itself now.
