Invidia Aus spec dump on MY08 auto

Postby whooshalator » Thu Feb 13, 2014 7:31 pm

Invidia Aus spec dump for auto box as supplied by Prospeed and installed by Allan at Blitz Exhaust Hoppers Crossing - who did a great job at a great price (as usual).

The dump clears the auto box - but only just. Still think the cat should have been further down the pipe like on the manual version of the dump. But a nice quality dump that bolted straight up without issues. See the pics.

Got any pics of it pre-install?

I had a real Invidia one on my Foz and just sold it to a guy with an 08 GT-B. Fitted perfectly with STi knuckle.

I also had my Invidia Dump installed by the guys at Blitz Exhaust, they did an awesome job!
Agree with whooshalator that the Cat on the dump is very close to the auto box (almost touching). But still happy with the end result.

few pics from the job.

Had to slightly modify mine when it was installed.
Slightly depressed the cat to clear the box, was around 1mm clearance now it's a huge 8-10mm roughly

Still super happy with the product though!

I saw the Invidia Aus spec as im searching for a dump pipe too...

I'm stuck between Invidia or AVO atm, how has it been so far since fitting?

It looks like AVO and Invidia are the same cost. Would be interested to hear peoples thoughts on which is better.
Needs to fit standard center pipes. I just want to install dump on auto GTB wagon.
Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.

Cant really go wrong with either. I think the main difference is where the cat is located in the dump and whether you like it there. Heard nothing but good things about either dumps, and as I mentioned in the other thread, I am pretty sure the dump will fit stock centre pipe on the Invidia, but you are better off confirming with the supplier. Same goes with the AVO. If it doesn't I doubt it would be expensive to get it to fit at a exhaust shop.

I got the Invidia. FItting required a bit of re-bending, but nothing drastic.

I'll put up some photos...
