Sorry for the delay.

It's a very deep note but not raspy enough. Will try and further deduce what I'm hearing

That'll be affected by your cat back and headers too

correct me if im wrong but the 3.0's didnt have the same sound the 2.5's do with regards to the boxer note. Ive yet to hear a 3.0 to sound 'boxer-ish'.

You might be right Shav...oops

Reason I say rumble is - the TCP's are pretty raspy mufflers...if raspy is what Scotty wants, then I figured maybe he meant something else

I think my problem is I was hoping to get something like I had with my 2.5.
Will get a recording over the weekend. It does sound good when you get up it though. Some how my fuel consumption has gone up now ;-)

H6’s sound gorgeous!
I’m a little late to help you out, but this is my car- stock system with hitech quads- what you could have had!

your consumption has gone up because you keep accelerating hard to hear your exhaust lol.

The H6's wont ever have a (boxer rumble) because there are more fires per revolution of the engine.
H4's rumble due to both the separation of the headers, and the lack of cylinders. also the rumble can be accentuated with uneven headers... you's probably know they work but i'll explain anyway, one side of the headers have a longer travel to the Y pipe which delays the travelling exhaust enough to be closer to the pulse of the opposite header giving the exhaust a more throbbing pulse.

IMO i think the H6's sound Fking amazing, the h4 boxer rumble is soooo 1999.
