Thanks Cam! First post has been updated!

LOL! Glad to see you found some time to break away from your 'flogging' interest enough to do a recording. :P

Btw where did you acquire these?

You're referring to the car when you say "flogging interest" I assume Jim?

Purchased them through Import Monster.

Thanks for that Mikee! First page update. :D

Have you heard of Remus? Apparently Stromung is a notch below, if not on par with Remus. Both are high quality German/Austrian products that have very similar exhaust notes. You tend to find Remus/Stromung more on the Euro cars. The Remus exhaust note is just pure sex. I would have opted for the universal Remus muffler if Phat didn't come along to produce his own. If you have a chance to get a hold of one, I would definitely recommend it.

There seems to be a group buy on them in the legacy forums right now too.

Gez. 46 people and counting! Those guys have serious group buys! :D I think I checked a year or two ago and Stromung didn't have a direct application for the Liberty/Legacy. Looks like this Infamous Performance has put together a CBE using Stromung parts. Should still be pretty good though.

Would love to get my hands on that stromung... sounds so good on that 07! (cans look much smaller too?) So tempted to get onto that group buy!

Phat quads i'd love to support local! BUt it seems like a wait game at the moment and is indefinite. This group organising the group buy on legacygt.com experiences the same crap with group buys that Phat has experienced. Not making profit on the systems but doing all the work and having picky and fussy buyers who dont understand that quality sometimes means more $$$.

Still faithful though... gunmetal sprayed Phat quads are much my preference. Phat seems to get the length of the tips perfect.. in the link to legacygt... the stromung seem to fall a little short.

You should look up the Australian Stromung distributor and get a universal fit one and get a muffler shop to fit it. Alternatively you could get the universal Remus as well.

Not sure about the Stromung, but the Remus has fixed tips. And because that space for the exhaust tips for the Liberty is so small, if the Stromung has fixed tips as well they probably had to go with the smallest muffler they could find because it would mean the tips would be small and close together. But you're right, proportionally, it looks too small for the Liberty.

That's why it took Phat so long to settle on a muffler body. He went through hundreds of different muffler body sizes and configurations. Had to be the biggest possible in order to minimise noise. When he did select one, the outlet holes were too wide apart. But he was determined to make it work, and came up with the tips bending inwards to fit the rear bumper space.

According to chaotic2005, Phat looks to run another batch in early 2011. Let's hope he sticks to it.

Spent the last hour revising the 1st post. YouTube videos are now embedded rather than a URL link. Sorry if this increases the load time for anyone.

Have added gen3v8's X-Force (sounds great!) and dannyb88's Walker (very nice!) as well.
