auto or manual will not have a noticeable difference, you need to make sure both cars have the same engine EJ20 OR EJ25, as the both engines came with different headers (equal leangth for the EJ20, unequal for the EJ25) and turbo designs (twin scroll for the EJ20) which made a big difference with the final sound.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

i have a MY06 H6 Lib and wanted a nice sound, but nothing to over the top, so i was thinking of getting some 'tuned by sti' mufflers put on, only problem is that every clip i looked at was obviously the sounds from the turbo models, so if i was going to put it on mine it would obviously sound different...

WELL...

i found a clip on youtube of a guy who took a vid of his H6, before he changed the mufflers AND after, it's not the best vid because it was recorded in a enclosed carpark, but if you listen carefully you can tell the difference and hear the nice new soft grumble from the STI mufflers.. ENJOY!

Here is a good comparison, first video below is Kando Equal Length Headers, with 3inch Turbo Back with Hi flow cat in dump pipe and 3inch resonator with MRT mufflers

And next video is Kando Equal Length Headers with 5inch 100cell cat, second muffler to replace resonator and quad Magnaflows. *notice the idle with the Kelford 264 cams* :)
