Postby brockharro1957 » Tue Aug 13, 2013 7:19 pm

any one run twin pipes on a 3.0r

so delete the centre cat and run two single pipes from both pipes of the centre cat

so i want to know if you can run two seperate pipes without joining into one on a 3.0r

sorry if this has ready been done or answered i did try search it

cheers brock

They need to join if you want torque... scavenges from the other bank better and will stop drone at highway speed. Look at a late model V8 commodore exhaust, they have a 'X kiss' pipe just past the gearbox which helps with scavenging and then has the full twin system etc.

use BIG straight-through oval mufflers about 2.5" in/ out

Check teh sale section, there's a set of Phat Quad Tip mufflers somewhere in there

Or a pair of STi genome mufflers

I will be doing this when . Can afford ( not too soon) will get a centre muffler to replace the stock one that contains a cross section in it. Hopefully it will sound different but nice. I have seen one on YouTube (a Blitzer one) that sounded great

Yeah, set of Hooker mufflers at the back and a set of hotdogs after the kiss pipe...

I have one muffler on a cranky cammed Nissan V6 in my Pulsar with 6>1 headers, it is quiet once tuned right ;)

Yeah, an N14 SSS with VQ35DE from a Nissan Altima/Maxima with a 6 speed Torsen LSD FWD gearbox.

Old but has the basics of the build
