Perth exhaust options?

Postby Thursty » Wed Jul 31, 2013 11:29 am

Hi I'm hoping that someone can help me find an exhaust system for my 2000 GT 2litre tt.

I live in Perth and can't seem to find one anywhere without getting custom headers made at great expense.

I have been told to look on ebay but can only find systems for other models on there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mate,

Might want to try Mettam Mufflers in Morley.

Not sure if you're NOR or SOR so that could be close or really far away.

One of the exhaust fabricators there is a liberty owner so he may be nice to you.

If you have deep pockets the best in the custom game is Norm Butler also North of river.

Good luck!

Thanks for that.

I have already contacted Mettams and they want to build custom down pipes for big bucks.

I may just get them to do a cat back system instead for around $500.

I'll keep looking for a while.

Prestige exhausts in Malaga are excellent but $$.

You get what you pay for. neat tig welds, all mandrel bends = max flow

My understanding is Norm is in Bentley..??

I prefer Prestiges work. Thats just my opinion though.

Thanks for the advice.

I ended up getting a 3 inch cat back system from mettams mufflers in balcatta.

Sounds pretty good but he wont do the dump pipes because he cant find a proper kit for mine and doesnt want to remove the cats for obvious legal reasons.

I have just discovered that stechnic in malaga might do kits for the dump pipes. Think I'll give them a call.

STechnic is in Maddington.
All Star Garage and Maximum Motorsport are in Malaga.

Just clearing that up for you.
