Thanks for the info Ben, I'll see how it goes and update. So the tips themselves are screwed or welded to the muffler pipes?

Only do the experiment if DIY or you are on very good terms with your fabricator :P

This ^ and don't forget the vas either.

I'd say any good fabricator would rather make their own thing from scratch rather than mod a stock part.

Done!

So yep, there was some bumper cutting needed but not too much (still need to clean it up a bit).

We tried the WRX mid-pipe and although it does fit up pretty well to the lib, it sits closer to the sway bar (a little too close). In the end I kept the liberty mid section and he used the pipe+flange from the stock mufflers and welded them on to the wrx mufflers. The hangers were cut and new ones welded on to match the liberty positioning. Mufflers brought as far towards the bumper as possible but tip lengths untouched for now. Yep they sit a little bit in but similar to the stock singles. So the sedan does have the advantage of not really needing the tip extension at least...

Will do!

It's fairly quiet but that's fine with me. Does have some nice low notes at idle and low rpm but yeah, pretty quite really.

I've got a 3-inch dump pipe but I need to replace the mid pipe to perhaps an xforce one as it's the stock mid section right now. That will probably improve the sound a little too.

Since your exhaust guy is a legend, I'd recommend a custom mid pipe with a muffler, and or a sidebranch resonator.
The latter is a closed end tube that Y's off the front end of the mid pipe.

Nothing noticeable J, pretty much the same, however I'm not making the same ponies your wagon is! haha I guess the biggest impact is the dump pipe with liberties which I've done, the rest is minimal in comparison until you start making serious power.

That no-drone pipe is pretty interesting. So simple but it makes sense. Luckily drone isn't an issue for me but if it ever does become a problem I'll be looking into that further!!
