Which gasket for sti muffs to xforce 2.5 y -

Hey guys
Confused as anything !
The smaller gasket on y pipe the diameter is about 5 mil smaller than opening of Y pipe if that makes sense..
It's good against sti mufflers as obviously pipe is smaller

All the gasket does is 'mash' the gap between both sides when you tighten the bolts.
I would say match the inner diameter on the smaller one for best result, but either way, so long as the outer diameter is sealed it will be fine.

Thanks Jakey I was thinking more of a performance issue with gasket restricting opening on 2.5 y pipe

It's going to be restricted by the smaller opening anyway so just match your gasket to the smallest diameter opening.
I think you will be best to take the smaller side (i guess the muffs) in to an exhaust shop. Even take it to Repco or Autobarn they have the gaskets there and they can match it over the counter for you.
An exhaust shop will match it for sure.

yes. the number of threads you make.
the gasket is fine as it is larger than your muffler inlet pipe but smaller than the y pipe outlet.

Is it possible for a muffler place to make a 2.5 inch Y pipe to stock mufflers and ensure they sit perfectly without putting strain on everything rather it is a forced fit at moment and hangers are stretched as shit !

Do they just cut it off at y pipe then weld new custom y on etc ?

Newbie, metal fabricators can do whatever the fuck they want.
You just need to fucking TAKE IT THERE first.
Instead of asking all these bullshit questions which have been answered multiple times every separate time you ask them.

+1. Personally I have very little patience for your requests but some members do and give you good advice, of which you follow none and then and ask pointless follow up questions.
No point asking for advice then being afraid of carrying through with something because it's changing it from stock. If that's your stance then you shouldn't be modding.
