Postby Newbie GT » Fri Apr 12, 2013 7:52 pm

Hi guys helped my friend mount up quads onto xforce y pipe

Left side fitted great and looks even out the back and stick out proper length

Right side is about an inch or more back toward front of car :/
It felt strained joining the muffler up if the makes sense
Can a muffler place rectify this I don't understand y this has happened

Please help

Common for things to not fit perfectly if you buy pre-fabbed centre pipes, or even with the stock centre pipe and after market mufflers.
You can get exhaust shops to modify exhaust hangers to get it to be more centred. Trust me when I say if it's off centre no amount of cable ties and refitment will fix your problem.

I thought your friend was in NZ, how was he helping you install them so soon?

i had the exhaust shop use an oxy torch to heat up the pipe and bent it into position. in some cases modifying the hangers may not help as the issue maybe at the centre pipe or the muffler pipe.

Guys the X force Y pipe never lines up properly.

I've seen MSR install them twice with the same result.

MSR just puts a big rod in the end of the rear muffler and then pushes the rod in the direction that it needs to go.

You can bend your exhaust tips if you're not careful (see Peadya100's profile)
