Are the quads noisy compared to std gtb muffs?

Any power benefits ?

Do they just bolt up to y pipe and use same hangers as gtb ?
Do I need gaskets?

Yes, they are a direct bolt up

ahh it depends if there is still a reasonable enough layer left on either the pipes or the muffler itself, but i'd advise scraping that off and using new gaskets

They are very cheap from an exhaust shop

Ok will check his car out tomorrow the y pipe is only 7 months old so might be ok with gasket

There is an exhaust sealer gasket glue too isn't there ? Might be easier and cheap to get muffler place to fit maybe $50?

If it is, those gaskets will be fine to use by themselves as I've seen what they use, I've got one on my car.

So you think I can use them ? With some gasket glue or not needed ?

You can change the mufflers with the car on the ground if you haven't lowered the car. And if you have,reverse the rear tyres on some blocks of wood. The stock gasket should be fine.

If you have trouble getting them on the rubber hangers, some WD40 will be your friend.

Yes, those gaskets will be fine to use.
No need for gasket glue if you have the bolts done up properly

Thanks rooby going on mates gtb so I will get all gear ready for him as he is in NZ at moment

Will I need gasket sealer ? Any particular one from super cheap ?

Then test for leaks just by feel ?
