Other than the obvious price distance, what is the main/important differences between a Mild Steel and Stainless Steel Exhaust ?
If i'm just after a nice note is it worth paying the extra for the Stainless ?

Ok cool, I was thinking of just sticking with the Mild Steel.
I'm guessing the Stainless would last much longer though.. ?

yeah but both will outlast the car so its not really an issue, unless maybe you live by the beach or on a saltplain or something haha

Another thing is weight, but only the hardcore would care about the difference.

There are pros and cons to each but they are minor and not really worth worrying about if you don't have a specific preference either way.

from the dilemma i went through earlier in the year

Stainless Steel
Wont rust. ever.
Will give a slightly raspy sound

Mild Steel
Wont rust for quite some time. you'll part ways with the car before it starts to rust.
Will give a deeper, bassier tone

I believe mild steel also has better gas flow properties, especially when very hot (dump pipes).

Anyone had or know of anyone who has used these before ?

does anyone know if Best Mufflers sell the mild steel dump pipes to suit 07 GT auto? Seriously considering mild steel also due to costs, but may go SS mufflers for looks.

They are all X Force exhausts.
Go straight to X Force direct.

Thanks Kody, I see he used the center and y pipe.
Has anyone else got first hand knowledge of the full catback system ? It says it's a direct fit with the gaskets and bolts included. I would like to fit it myself but just want to make sure I dont get half way through and turns out there is alot more hassle then said.

Any help would be great guys.
