Just wanted to know if those who have a phat DP have any carbon coming from out the back? Either tuned or untuned.
As my custom exhaust does spit out some carbon and I'm linking of getting a phatty DP.

Thanks guys.

Nothing I've noticed... Never any build up on my bumper, both tuned and untuned :)

Coming from a different angle Craig, how do you drive your car normally? Do you drive is S# a lot and quite aggressively? Or you'd think you take it easy for most of the time?

Also what's your l/100ks like as per your dash, if you don't keep tabs on it at fill up times.

And what sort of intake and exhaust mods do you have?

This all has an impact to how dirty and how quickly your exhaust tips get dirty.

Also noticed you had a CEL recently, did you find out the cause? What was it and was it fixed?

Thanks 4 replying.

Cars at Subaru at the moment so I'll be able to confirm it soon.
But mods are.

K&n panel
Silicon intake pipes
Kobe TMIC
Avo bell mouth (wideband sensor bung is blocked up as I dont have one)
Custom down pipe to suit with 1 high flow cat (not sure if it's 100or 200 cel)
Xforce mid and quad tail pipes.
98 fuel
Tuned by msr
192kw #s 18psi
185kw (S) 17psi

Driving is normal but can be a little spirited at times, 95% of time car is set to (s). Car is warmed up before and after use Each time. Fuel usage is anywhere from 9.2 - 10.2 around town.

Just spoke to Subaru, they thought it was better to speak to the tuner. They said that everything was running fine and it's nothing to be too concerned about.

They said the error code can be brought on by the sensor but as they weren't sure didnt wanna replace the sensor or anything.

Based on the info provided, I'd say your most likely seeing the carbon build up and soot out the rear due to your CEL. Best wait for Subaru's response.

Any dump pipe is fine.

If Mick at MSR thought your current one is good enough, I'd stick to it.

Did they tell you what the code was?

I noticed the soot the week after the tune so about 1.5 months ago.

Subaru's response is above.
