STi/WRX widebody sedan mufflers modded for GT-B wagon

Exhaust modifications

With a wagon the tips required 4-6" extensions to be inserted between the muffs & the tip outlet and those gave plenty of leeway to adjust the angles. I guess he tack welded, bent to fit then welded up. Harry at AES Heidelberg Rd Alphington :-)

Thanks for the quick reply Ben! Will give him a call tomorrow to see what's the go. I wonder how I'll go with the sedan. Suppose longer protruding tips would look better than short-under bumper.

I'm definitely loving the exhaust note from these. Nice and silent and without the drone... Sounds more 'torquey'. Just need to get these tips done and I'll be set.

Will keep you guys posted.

We tried mine on a sedan, way too long and need staggered tips.
Best to keep the tips away from the cutouts, too. Pm u to discuss. :-)

Mine are getting chopped up and fitted pretty soon, along with my raptor headers and hi flow cats.
Hopefully nothing goes bang!

What were you quoted?

Die: If Melbs I'd also recommend Daniel at Exhaust World, 89 Curzon St, North Melbourne.
They do very fine work!

Simon make sure you go staggered and aligned to not touch the bumper cutouts...

Got any pics of the underneath of the car?
What are the pipe diameters?

Inlet on the muffs is same as the stock gt-b muffs: approx 2.25" and each runner to tip is around 1-1.5".
Too ugly underneath to warrant pics lol but if you insist I'll get onto it :)
Just a reminder, most zorst shops don't want to do it and would rather supply custom or off the shelf solutions...

So far haven't had a chance to get the tips aligned. Hoping to look around this Monday. Will keep you guys posted. Still loving the 'torquey' note that these produce on the twinscroll set up. Maybe needs to sound a bit more deeper and would sound real good!

Delete the stock center res box if you have one or just go for a bigger diameter mid maybe, for more deep. :)
I'm planning to add a 2nd cat, long taper x-force 100cell was recommended. That might quieter mine down a little too.

So I went down to AES in Heidelberg rd Alphington however I was not successful in getting the tips to fit the cut outs. He had cut the tips but we quickly discovered that the tips wont physically fit the cutout. Anyone able to confirm if the wagon bumper cutout is bigger than sedans?

The only solution for me is to get new tips to fit which is going to cost $200 altogether for 4 SS tips and labour. Not sure if its worth the dosh to get these to fit flush with the bumper.

Ended up rewelding the tips back on.

Perhaps wide body wrx/sti mufflers will only fit wagon libs?
