Failed!!

I got it all connected but found the connection at the end of the center pipe to the existing a challenge...do I use the same nut/bolt/spring to connect it up?

Otherwise the bolts provided were to big for the existing bolt hole..

Yeh just double checked...everything lines up like a glove...its just the proposed to existing connection I'm a bit lost on.

If someone has done this, can i request a photo of this this connection? H6 only.

thanks a million in advance!

PS: Turned the car on with nothing connected...the thing sounded like V10..haha was fun...

are you talking about where the mid section connects up with the last cat converter?

I just bolted mine up, used a couple of washers and tightened it up as tight as i felt was needed

Yeh I'm worried about leaking, or is the part that sticks out if the existing pipe acting like a gasket?

Hey Nick,

Only issue I had when I fit mine up was getting the metal reducer off the back of the 3rd cat, just took some persuading with a flat head and it came off, other than that it should all bolt straight up..

Good luck with it..

Verdict:

H6+Xforce centre / Y pipe + sti quads = THE BUSINESS!

amazing note, quiet when cursing, addictive pitchy E46 m3 note when punched.

Zero drown, nice deep idle!

Couldn't be happier with $220 spend!

It sounds so perfect and refined! Couldn't be happier!

Thanks too all for the advice and assistance!

I've been watching with interest also! So Nick how much louder (percentage wise) would you say the exhaust note is now?

Mick.

Probably 10-15% louder but not canon loud (if you dig). with everyday normal driving.

25-35% louder when punching it...but again...not a loud drowny sound...its crisp and sporty.

With windows up it sounds stock with hints of exhaust bursts.
