Mine smelled awful for the first few days too. Kinda like burning plastic (yes I checked my bumper regularly  )

The smell is gone now though.

Pretty good. Kinda honda-ish though due to twinscroll :( still happy overall.

I have heard them on another forum members 3.0R-B and they sound veryy nice.

Nope and nope! Twinscroll turbo setup = VERY little to no boxer rumble. Requires complete turbo setup swap to achieve it.

Atleast the mufflers look awesome haha

Hi Guys,

Agree the sound is awesome. Phew about the smell. Thought the lads at the exhaust shop had left a tip touching the bumper!

I love the light rumble on start up.

If anyone is interested I have a pair of Ultrex single tip mufflers for sale. I bought the full turbo back exhaust but only installed the dump, mid and Y sections. Leaving a brand spanking new (never installed) set of mufflers up for sale.

I was looking for $400 for the pair.
Started with a Gen2 Outback, then got a MY07 GT Spec.B Manual w Cat Back Exhaust and Verso Tuned, now got 2 kids and a MY07 GT Auto Wagon, Ultrex stealth back exhaust, panel filter, Whiteline Sways all round, Spec.b struts and springs and Kido-Tuned.

contemplating now adding the cat-back system in stainless!

Was looking at adding the xforce center and y-pipe to my ultrex mufflers, but now a lot of people where are saying a xforce system gives quite a lot of drone (which i want to avoid).

Guess what im trying to obtain is a higher pitch, raspy-ier note, with maybe a little louder top-end volume. More power is a bonus.

Whats a setup like this going to do to the lower end volume (low speed/low revs)? louder or quieter due to better piping?

...would like it to be a little quieter when building up speed/suburb areas...

Will be adding all stainless steel components to the car...question is what parts (cat-back/axle-back/nothing!)

thanks guys :D

You still can, just add another resonator to eliminate drone. I'm pretty sure there's room for a longer one in the x-force system.
