Hi guys can y pipes be weleded to join I mean one side of y is not in two pieces but other side has two pieces welded ?

there we are posting for a mate of mine so as you can see there is a weld on the y is this normal or usually one piece ? its all x force ,,,, :o

When i bought my xforce catback (second hand) the guy had a a resonator put in that exact spot on each side to quiet it down a bit, maybe at some stage your mates system also had these and then they were removed, was it bought second hand? Although, come to think of it, you would really expect 2 welds per side if that was the case

With the picture this actually makes sense :O Still terrible English though.

The weld isn't going to make any difference, they might've just stuffed up the bend on one side so welded on another piece.
