Hi guys, sorry if this has been covered before.

I was wondering if anyone has added a resonator to a turbo back exhaust. I am thinking of doing it to a TCP exhaust. It already has a hot dog half way along. There is a drone around 2500 rpm. Do you think this would make much of a difference to drone? The volume is not so much of an issue.

if u were after a way of preventing drone, Lukey do a Dynomax VT muffler - it has a spring attached to a flap, which works similarly to a varex, except legal. At low rpm the flap closes to prevent drone, but on WOT the flap opens for full flow. Higher flowing than you'd think too. I was looking at different options when i was at work n came across those mufflers can get in (i dont work for lukey, just a car store)

Once i buy a gt, i will be putting them on my system as they are reasonably cheap.

anyone else heard of these?

Will that exhaust interfere with the flow at all? It's just that I have had the ECU flashed to take into account the free flowing exhaust...I can imagine that muffler confusing the ECU?

as far as what i read it just closes on low rpm to reduce back pressure causing drone. Shouldnt mess with anythin really because the spring opens the flap when more gas tries to flow through. Give Lukey a call and see what they say, they were pretty helpful with me

I have a TCP exhaust on my wagon, I looked into adding another into the centre section. It can't be done (I was told) as there is not enough space

Mine was not that small. But yeah an option may be to replace the existing

I have the popular recommendation exhaust of the TCP mufflers with the Xforce Mid and Y piece with the 14" resonator on my wagon and i don't really have drone problems, it sounds sporty around town and its actually not even noticeable out on the highway.
