2008 2.5i exhaust help

Postby Jamesh2233 » Sun Jun 03, 2012 9:49 pm

Hey I just bought a 2008 my09 2.5i and I love it. But I've noticed modding it seems to be a bit of a headache(I've also got threads in audio and cosmetics). Ive sussed a few threads but couldn't find what I'm after. I no you can't get much power gains out of the 2.5i which doesn't really bother me (but I wouldn't mind a few more kws :), just want looks and some sound. I was wondering if the sti quad tip exhaust fits on n/a or can anyone recommend any good cat backs? I don't want it to sound like a ricer and I don't want cannons, just a bit of grunt. Prices would help a lot cheers.

Mild steel as I'm guessing it's cheaper :)

both systems have their pro's and con's
the xforce mild steel system is perfect for your needs tho :)

Stainless steel will last a life time and will give it a slightly raspy sound,
Mild steel will last, on average, say 7 years.. but the xforce kit is coated which will last more than double the life of the kit, you will most likely end up upgrading the car before the exhaust system starts to show signs of aging. plus, the mild steel will give a slightly bass-ier note over the stainless kit

I had xforce exhaust on my old car and was really happy with them but don't xforce come with tips already fitted? I definitely want quad tips

It is the whole system, but if you want, get in contact with best mufflers regarding just a center and y pipe then check out the vendor thread on here TCP Auto

Yer will do cheers. Don't think I'd get a full system but. Also do you no if there's any intake mods? Wouldn't mind a cheeky induction sound.
