Is anyone around melbourne interested in swapping their OEM exhaust for my aftermarket system?
I bought the car with it already installed and i want the car to be kept stock standard.
It sounds really good, has a deep tone until 3k and then opens up for a nice growl.

I have an 05 3rb wagon if that makes any difference..

i have a stock system readily available, and im close to you, sorta

I have one on my sedan but it has a small section missing at the back (almost what you would call a chip at the bottom) I think this is caused from heat? Sedan and Wagon use the same exhaust right?

yep, same exhaust. you might be a better option for jay, thats if you are wanting to change your exhaust jakey

I’ve heard the wagons exhaust may be a little longer than the sedans? not sure if thats legit though.
Is the chip on the tip or the rear muffler?

the exhaust length for sedan and wagon is the same, the tip on the muffler is a tad longer on the wagon, thats the only difference. it doesnt look too bad, to be honest.
ive got an xforce sedan system on my wagon

ahh great. that makes this a lot easier then! ill probably change the tips on the stock system anyway.

the tips on the stock system seem to be held on by a screw from the bottom, but thats just from vague memore.
which, if so, you could always fine twin tips that fit and get them put on

nah i actually have no idea what it is. pretty sure its from the cat though.

And yeah it is right on the tip at the bottom...sort of strange really..

But yeah I wouldn't settle for that note I know why you are trying to swap

you need an xforce system jakey

Have you considered simply swapping mufflers to the factory ones. If the noise is the issue, putting back the factory mufflers might be a goer. I may be able to get my hands on a set for a wagon.

It sounds good, I’m swapping it because i want the car back to stock. i drove a fully modded xr6 for 2 years and got sick of being the typical ‘p plater’.

I didn’t think about swapping the mufflers, although i can imagine buying a set of mufflers would be pricey! $$$
