Alex your car is exactly same model as Darren's so unless yours is special somehow I don't see why it wouldn't be the same sensor setup.

Dont remove the resonator completely, it will be way too loud, i tried this for a bit.

Just go to an exhaust shop and ask them to replace the resonator with a hotdog.

Thats what i did and then got some sports mufflers on the back to get a nicer sound/note.

All up my exhaust, including the twin tips on each side, cost $400. Thats hotdog, two rear mufflers, and two stainless twin tips.

Problem with the sti mufflers is you are just paying for a name. If those tips are stainless, you'd be paying around $150 in a shop to get them put on.

Please remember, tips and mufflers are different, so when referring to tips, its the shiny bits, muffler is the can :) it gets confusing because even just in this thead i've read about "tips" changing the sound of an exhaust, which is what the muffler does

Thanks castek, I might look into this hotdog... When u say don't remove it 'completely', what exactly do u mean?

I think we are all talking about different things.

Alex was asking about removing the intake resonator, not the exhaust resonator.

Not removing it "completely" means replacing it with something else rather than a hollow pipe.

Oh intake resi, well that also helps a bit for sound.
I removed mine, takes 5 minutes and sounds good.

Technically speaking.

.2c is 1/5th of a cent.
