Ok thanks guys! So if there are welds like that or small dents it doesn't affect performance etc?

Nothing that you will notice unless the dent changes the pipe size by a fair bit.

Example... A 2.5" pipe with a 0.5" dent, resulting in the pipe now being 2" at one point. Even with a dent of that size you will only really hear the exhaust note turn to shit rather than a loss in power.

If you get a really big dent, what you can do is put water in the pipe and put it in a freezer and the expansion will force the dent out.

a 2.5" pipe with a 0.5" dent doesn't necessarily mean it will go to 2" :shock: . Also It would only sound shit if it had cracked through.
