I Sold Everything To Buy A Lamborghini

Funny stuff. Nothing too obscene please...

I Sold Everything To Buy A Lamborghini

Postby Roddez » Wed Jun 16, 2010 12:52 pm

I'm not sure if this story is funny, sad or both...

I Sold Everything To Buy A Lamborghini And Drive Across The Country

I'm not sure I would choose an Italian car, but selling everything, buying a supercar and driving around Australia has some charm...

Pity he broke the car....

All that driving does have a price and now the car has even less value. After all the hard driving and long miles, the timing chain stretched, crunching the valves and turning the car into an exotic and expensive paperweight. The car is now worth less than he owes on it and the bank refuses to grant him another loan.

Looking at some of the comments someone claims to know him and says the whole thing is a hoax?

I'm I the only one asking this question... How the hell could someone that looks like that afford to buy a Lambo in the first place!?

If I was the selling dealer I would've told him to go & buy a Ford or something more fitting with that look :P

I doubt cars like that get sold every day, and i imagine they would get a good commission, so they would hardly shut down a sale cos he does not suit the stereo-typical image of a lambo driver.

You're right mate, I generally I don't judge a book by it's cover... But that guy just looks like a giant douche :P

Valid point Rod :P

Have to say, most Lambo drivers in Sydney seem awfully young & from the look of them (Besides the douche look) the first thing I think is drug dealer.

PS - Shano, I know I know, I'm judging the book by it's cover again :P

Was admiring a Lambo in Perth CBD one day. Was having a gawk - then moved on.

Walked past a guy sitting on a bus bench - he goes "you like the car"?

"Of course - it's a Lambo"

"It's mine"

"you must be proud"

"ah . .. . it's just a car to me"

I walked away thinking, you sit there to boast about your car to everyone who looks at it? tosser!

Later I met someone who knew the owner who said he sat outside his business' offices and parked in the same one hour bay all day and just collected the tickets and paid em off. Turns out his "business" was premium phone services - the 1900 number stuff of various descriptions.

So I was right - he was a tosser.

Some of the comments on that page from the person who claims to know him, suggests he is trust fund kid!

It's funny you say that. When I went to buy my BMW, the first two dealers I walked into no-one approached me - at all. The third dealer was good and they got my business! I arrived in a Ford Fairlane wearing jeans and t-shirt and bball cap... Just goes to show, sometimes dealers do what you have mentioned.

As for the bloke in the article - as Shano has said, good on him! Pity the car is buggered though. I don't know about anyone else, but travelling 90 odd thousand miles in a Gallardo sounds nuts!
