Happy Back To The Future Day!

Postby HyRax » Wed Oct 21, 2015 12:06 am

The future is now the past! So let's see, did we get anything that BTTF2 promised us?

  • Hoverboards
  • Predictable weather
  • Flying cars
  • Instant pizza
  • Glasses that tell you who's at the door
  • Mr. Fusion
  • Newspapers with animated sections
  • Large daytime holograms
  • Jaws 19
  • Nike self-fitting and self-securing shoes
  • Self-drying clothes
I feel so old now...
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

Ahhhh the good old days

Instead of the predicted items we now have:

Facebook, Instagram, snap chat, zombie-like mindstates, a lack of respect and a general degradation of social fabric of the world and a complete disregard for the truly important elements of life.

Could have done with a flying car this morning considering the completely shithouse traffic in Sydney.... oh well guess it didn't come true.

The future looked a lot better in BTTF than it does now.

Agreed. I deal with teenagers on a daily basis and often I'm disappointed with the values they have been taught in their lives to this point, there is however the odd ray of hope with some.

The other day I was impressed with my mates 12yo son when he opened the car door for my 11yo daughter. He's a good kid.

Pity there are no Hover Boards.
