Short answer is no... And, don't bother trying mate. (BTW it's a ML63, not 64 ) Regardless of what the book says, the grunt these things have is enormous. Mind you, if you did happen to jump one at the start due to their wheel spin, you wouldn't see where you were going due to all of the smoke. LOL.

oh few usa car review videos. subaru website says 5.6 1 usa car show tested it with 5.5 I think. and this is stock.
Blow about 2k to mod my10 gt and then amg won't have chance.

but then u can say that with the amg as well add another 2k to that u probably make it go faster, from stock as i think we were talking about the my10 gt has no chance against a STOCK amg ML63

The heart of the ML 63 AMG remains unchanged - the 375 kW 6.2-litre V8 mated to a SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission still provides class-leading performance figures with a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 5.0 seconds flat.

My10 GT 5.6 secs

ML63 AMG price = $xxx.xxx.xxx?
My10 GT price = $5x.xxx.xxx?

Just little bit of 2k you can make the my10 GT faster than AMG already.
If you want more speed you can spend 6k on a my10GT and ML63 AMG won't even see the tail light.

subaru cars are much better in value and speed.

Same like the new lexus LFA $400.000.000+? USD
GTR35 $80.000.000 USD top I think you can get one for about 70k USD

ANd the LFA is only 0.01 sec faster.

Too bad no one is making my10 GT vs other car's video yet.

put this into perspective as well... the big merc weights close to 2 tonne and would probably do 0-100 in 6 sec on the dirt.

Andy, has that heat shield crackling noise upset you ...

i think your figures a little bit off mate , and the modifications costs as well .

anyway back on topic.

Says 5.7 secs in this video.

I think WRX is faster than amg and GT because it's lighter and cheaper as well.

Last time I asked it was around 2k to get 15kw more i think to mod the gt.

...

That's the 0-60mph time.
60 mph is only 96.5 km/h

That's also a US built Legacy, which is probably tuned for different fuels than our Japanese built Libertys.

It's interesting to see how much debate this thread has caused :).

The original point of my post, is that my car with stock powertrain had NO HOPE at all of keeping up with the ML63, which is why I didn't even try. I doubt any stock GT or 3.0R would have kept up with it either. I just enjoyed the brilliance of seeing that huge tank catapult into the distance.

In the end any Liberty could be made to keep up with the Merc, but give the same money and effort again on that car it would still beat the Liberty. There is no replacement for displacement, right?

I think we're all missing the key point here: no drag racing at the lights kiddies.

er yea i agree with tek all i was trying to say was a STOCK AMG would totally absolutely thrash a total LIB GT, and watever money u spend on a lib gt, u could also spend on the amg to make it go faster, i mean with any sort of money u can make any car go fast if your know what ur doing that is :D
