Ric Rules Rob Roy - 26-Apr

Postby Ric » Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:43 pm

The MG club held another hillclimb at Rob Roy last monday, and once again I towed the MG up on a trailer so I could compete in both cars.
I came second in class in the MG (don't stand a chance against the car which beat me), but I came first outright in the Spec B ! :D

(That's ignoring the two Geelong club members who came along. One of them was in a WRX...)
The full results are at http://www.mgcc.com.au/competition/2010-comp03.shtml. Check the second table for best outright times.
I logged all runs with my ECUDATASCAN, so will have a full breakdown of how each run went shortly.

Congrats Ric! Great victory on behalf of all Liberty owners! You should start a 'Trophy' section on here for these sorts of accomplishments. :P

I was trying to break 26 seconds. Last time I was there I did 26.07, so I was 1/100th of a second slower this time.
I didn't bother swapping over to the 17" wheels this time, just ran the standard 18" wheels. I'm not sure if it made much difference, which is surprising.

(None of the runs were perfect, and I was right off the throttle going over "the wall" each time, so there's certainly room for improvement ;))
