You sure you’re not thinking of Mr. Hill

Good to see Ross Brawn is finally cashing in on his success

schumi was always going to Mercedes, half way through the 2009 season he was caught talking to the boss of Mercedes in the paddock at one of the races, really you only talk to someone in the paddock for business, also the fact that Brawn is in the team, would have sweetened the deal.

Although it will make for a good season, I think this year look for either Mercedes, Mclaren, Red-Bull, as the cars to be up the front, Ferrari still have troubles with their car. Although testing might prove different. We will see.

There's no way I would be ruling out Ferrari, particularly with a fired up Massa coming back and a rejuvenated Alonso eager to make an impression in the team and show up the incumbent (not to mention justify the HUGE investment Ferrari and sponsors have made in his contract breaking migration). Their car may have been the 4th best car out there last year but I wouldn't be banking on that staying the same this year, particularly after they stopped development of the 09 car mid season and started focussing solely on the '10 car. They'll be fighting for the lead I reckon, possibly the best of the lot. Even with their "engine disadvantage"

The one I would be worried most about maintaining momentum is the Mercedes car. They didn't have the Honda money and resources during '09 that they had during '08 and also didn't have the luxury of being able to stop development of the old car early to focus on the new car. Also, towards the end of the year, the Mclaren was easily the match of the Brawn overall, I'd say marginally the best on track.

Don't know where the Red Bull cars will end up. Newey has shown over the years that he is good at getting a jump on his rivals when big regulation changes happen but not so great at maintaining that edge. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vettel and Webber struggling to match the Ferrari's and Mclaren's.

JMHO

On slicks (GP2 spec) and still 1.3 seconds off Massa's pole time from 2008 (fresh tyres and low fuel runs at the end of his last day). Haven't seen any time released from Felippe's running the following day though...

monkey boy won't switch though. he realises that he wouldn't be competitive and would likely be just another also ran - too big-a hit for his massive ego. Don't rule out the use of rumours towards the middle of the year of him maybe switching when it comes time for him and Yamaha to talk turkey about 2011 - just to drive the price up
