work on the street is you can upgrade the torque converter for a few $100 and a whiteline positive shift kit (heard they do sweet F*** all)
but apart from that I havent heard much.

MH30R might be able to give you an idea of what he has done/is planning on doing to his auto. It's currently dealing with a supercharged 3.0

15.4. Stock as a rock power wise 3.0rb 6sp.
On brand new semis and clutch slip to redline in 3rd on last 3 of 6 passes. Near impossible to get off the line sadly.

94mph says there's a mid 14 in it with the twin plate in and some not so sticky rubber. 91-92mph slipping. Next trip will be with a 35r on though.

How do you launch? Are you saying that the semis are counter productive to a quick 1/4 mile? That makes sense stickier tyres have more resistance, I've never really looked into 1/4 mile times but it intrigues me what people do to get a quicker time.

This is a stock 250hp car trying to turn 900mm of tyre on a near perfect laid and prepped track. Never gonna happen.
With some old hard 205's and plenty of water pit in sure it would 60 in 1.9 or so and a solid mid 14. But fact is you're under 4500 rpm in first for too long, and at stock power that's a dead zone. On the street, dump clutch at 5k is a lot of wheel spin. At the track it's just a dead clutch.

So less grip keeps it in power band with a little wheel spin and gets it out of the hole.

This makes a lot of sense. As previously discussed elsewhere Paul managed to crank out 12.2 seconds/188Km/h in the Bullit but likely would've cracked into the 11s and significantly faster trap speeds had he not repeatedly botched the launch but we were running sticky semi-slicks which always bogged the car down to a virtual momentary standstill when attempting 1st gear launch. Next time thinking to try some much less sticky rubber.

Bigger stall should help if it's an auto.

What are the clutches like, I could do 6k launches sidestepping the clutch. Dump an bust driveshafts but could get consistent 1.6x 60" at willow bank (not a Subaru but same principle).

It's a shame there isnt anything out to tune the autos in liberties yet as there are plenty of tricks for quick 60" and ETs.
