I didnt know you were only running 15psi Dave.
Pulse must tune with a lot of timing for you to hit 210kw!

You'd have the same if not more timing IMO.

The pulse dyno is also quite happy - seen a few stock libs make 170atw with just a retune.

Are you saying id be running more timing at 19psi than a car making the same power at 15psi Alexei?

Alexei is hopefully joking. Less engine load needs more timing and 15psi is a lot less engine load

Forester XT on Geolanders and a VF52 + TMIC ran a 13.07 on 16psi, it runs less timing on its current 19psi tune as it pushes more airflow into the cylinder

Thats what i thought, but its pretty clear to most by now that i know NOTHING about tuning!!

Although, i know Michael added 2-3 degrees more timing when i went to P100. Would that be enough to make my timing higher?

No, I'm saying the pulse dyno is a bit happy, and I THINK it's not actually making the same power as you. The difference in time slips seems to support this?

Matt you're forgetting (or simply don't know that) Adam is tuned specifically for P100 with 2-3 degrees more in there...;)

(Edit: Just re-read your comment Matt... trying to make yourself look better by giving out a lesson in tuning, like it was needed. This doesn't actually answer Adam's question - which was to do with timing adding power. I pointed out that Adam is already running the same timing (per load) if not more...and you chimed in that he's not running the same timing table. Well, yes. That would be quite the assumption to make? :?

Perhaps you should stick to making helpful contributions instead...?)

Actually, if you have ever seen a Pulse timing table you would know 20 degrees at 5600rpm is normal at the peak of its airflow table(*cough* static values). MSR would be closer to 16 degrees on same load site(around 2.8g/rev)

I was referring to engine load as an example and why more combustible gas in the cylinder needs less timing as it makes a faster/bigger bang before TDC, even with ethanol added since you appeared to be giving out a lesson as well.

Let me know if you need an example via PM/
