Ric's motorkhana run

The MG Club in Melbourne ran a motorkhana two weeks ago out at the METEC driver training facility in Bayswater.
My MGA is off the road for the moment, chasing some nasty metal on metal noises coming from the head, so I wasn't competing.
However, at the end of the day I had one run at the final motorkhana pattern (Nucleus) in a friend's MGB.
I've never done that pattern before, but had watched many people doing it earlier in day.
My one run was half a second quicker than anyone else did it. :)
Luckily someone videoed it.

Nice-sounding car.

Good run too - perhaps the secret is being in someone else's lovingly restored vehicle if you want to set a record time?

That car has a hard life.
If you look carefully, you see some mud fall off the front of the car just after I come to a stop.
That's because the owner's partner had an off into the grass earlier in the day, and I had to tow her out of the mud...

For comparison, here's one of me in my MGA back in 2018, doing the "Bandit" pattern.
