Nissan to Take on V8SCC

Postby Stu » Thu Feb 09, 2012 10:11 pm

Looks like the Holden and Ford guys have finally forgotten getting trounced in 1992 and have permitted Nissan to compete in the V8SCC in 2013!

Finally things will be interesting again! It just makes my mind boggle as to what combination of chasis and parts Nissan are going to put on the grid. I'm really hoping the governing body don't make it a standard chasis between all makes in 2013 with only a badge to separate the three.
I own a Liberty honest!

About time we let other manufactures in….. might open the eyes of the bogan supporters.

I hope the Gerry’s return also and more of the Jap manufactures join in.

+1... Many of the bogans are a bunch of sore losers who see nothing aside from falcadores and commonwhores in their world of existence haha no wonder they changed the rules to make sure the nissans stayed off their races.

It has to be v8 rear wheel drive and a four door so the GTR is out there looking at the us Altima they will run on the car of the future chassis like Holden and ford which now has indapendant rear end with a transaxle and the can use the V8 that's is allowed buy avesco or submit there own for testing. it will all come down to driver and the teams engerneering as much as I hate to say it triple 8 will dominate

Nismo are more adapt to high horse power low weight. it will take them a while to get there feet. triple 8 have already built a car and will build cars for other teams giving them more data then you can pokje a stick at and will be well ahead when it kicks of in 2013. kelly racing have struggled and will go backwards to start with dealing with a new aero package. prodrive have dominated with fords, astin martins an such in europe. but could not make a dent in triple 8 when they joined with FPR.

unless nismo spend all of this year R and D with the COTY spec's over in japan, for a decent engine, it will take a while for them to firmly plant their feet on the ground and give the podium a serious shot. but that being said, i will support nissan 100% over holden and ford.
