These kits are a really great product and the damper adjustment from soft to hard is amazing, if any vic members are in the market for coilovers and want to have a feel of these, feel free to drop in and have a drive of our delivery car ( fiesta xr4 ) it wont be exactly the same feel as a liberty but it will give you an idea

Reade

What would say sets these coilovers apart from other units such as BC Racing, Racing logic, ISC Coilovers etc? Are there any features which you believe are superior?

IMHO the build quality and features of coilovers are similar in each price range; they probably all come from the same place and are based on a reference design with minor customisations for each brand. In this case the Pedders would be in the same price range as Race Logic, Megan, BC Racing etc in the $1,500.00ish price range.

Until you pay another $800-$1000.00 you won't even see the likes of TEIN. Bilsteins, Ohlins or other brands that probably aren't even available for our cars start at $3500 easily.

The biggest advantage to the Pedders ones are that you get an extensive support network Australia Wide.

I drove these on the demo XR4 and on near-soft settings (About 8/30ths turn for the front and extra 4/30ths turns on the back) they are very streetable even over tram tracks. I also tried them at 16/20 F/R which is great but still manageable on decent roads. At 24/28 (F/R) it is tolerable only on most perfect roads or ideally on the track, but the handling is ridiculously firm at this stage the car was sliding sideways instead of rolling. It felt like I may have even lifted wheels off the ground.

If they were on my car I would leave them at about 16/20 for everyday driving.

Given that 24/28 is so firm I would say that there is decent headway to increase damping further to compensate for when the coilovers wear (This is on a set that had already reportedly done about 30,000Kms of hard driving mind you).

Hey,

Im not really in a position to state the pro's and con's of the above brands vs ours because of my lack of experience with those brands. My personal opinion is a coilover is a coilover most of them ( in similar price ranges ) have the same features and are similar in build quality - ( apart from the cheap Ebay coilovers )

I suspect ( by the similar design of the coilover ) although no one will confirm this, that our manufacturer has an association with BC and from what ive been told from R&D who have been to the manufacturer, alot of the top end Jap stuff comes out of the same place.

However i know for a fact these are not simply rebranded BC coilovers, alot of redevlopment work has gone into these kits to make them a perfect fit for Australian vehicles - Each Kit we sell has been evaluated and developed in house at Head office .

The only real advantage we have is our Huge support network if you have a problem with our gear no matter where you are, its covered - Labour included
