But Seriously.... :)

I'm keen on one of these if they don't effect the seat movement. Is there enough interest for a group buy?? Seriously interested buyers only:

What are you organising a group buy on? The WRX club one?

I thought the WRX one was relatively easy to purchase unless you think there are better ones? - I'm just gauging interest

the WRX Club one is very well made (I know one of the directors at the company where they are made), and including the extinguisher, the club hardly makes any money. I'm seeing the gent who runs merchandise for the club this arvo (test driving the Forester 2.0D for the next edition of Torque 'N Rex), so I can ask if we can do a bulk purchase price.

If you're Melbourne based, you're welcome to attend our monthly meetings (third Thursday of the month), where we have the extinguisher for sale, or I believe we can post as well (not sure - will check)

Cheers,

Andrew

Drew I bought mine and it was posted for $10 from memory.

I originally looked at making my own bracket, but I have the manual seat adjustment lever and I didn't want to fudge around trial and error making a mount that fit property with a good range of adjustment. Plus I was in a hurry as well.

The WRX one is a great design, well built and worth every bit its cost.

I can only suggest to be really careful when putting the seat rail bolts back in because they look very easy to cross thread.

I've had one in 3 cars, and never had a seat bolt issue...

Sh1t... forgot to talk with Peter about it... was too busy enjoying the Forester Turbo Diesel...

So, the info I can provide is WOW!!! The ONLY downside to that car, is that I'm too used to the Liberty/SS Ute handling, so would need to do sway bars to reduce the small amount of body roll...

Will send an email now about fire extinguishers... Watch this space... :)

OK, have details, but don't have Approved Seller status, so here are the Group Buy details - to get Group Buy prices (i.e. WRX Club Member pricing) we need a minimum of 10 units to be ordered.

Am finding out of all Liberty seat bolt patterns are the same, or if they vary...

WRX Club Fire Extinguisher and Bracket - $65
Image

Melbourne metro postage = $10
Outside of Melbourne postage = $20

It's already mentioned in the page linked to at the start of this topic ( viewtopic.php?p=76230#p76230 )
and on the WRX site.
Pre 2004 Libertys require the fixed bracket, 2004 on require the swivelling one.

WRX Club Fire Extinguisher and Bracket - $65

Melbourne metro postage = $10
Outside of Melbourne postage = $20

That's the price for WRX club members. It's $10 more for non members, unless they give us the member price as the group buy special.

In a nutshell, yes... Club Members do not get any discount, as there is virtually no margin on these...

Essentially Group Buy is at WRX Club Member prices for non-members...

Hi Ryan,

yep, anyone can order direct from the club, the only caveat being that it's $75....

FWIW, club membership is $90 per year, so $65 for the extinguisher and bracket is pretty good... think of it as saving $90, rather than $10... :)
