Even easier was telling the wife I was buying a Sat Nav for the Lib.

Her words:
"Oh thats a good idea dear. You really need one of those for your car."

Looks like they're all being shipped this morning and I won't get mine till I get back from the snow the week after next. I'm the very last and in the mean time stuck with the older demo unit that I have to return :P

I haven't told my wife yet . In any case, she is not into tech details, so I will just swap out the current GPS Navman for the new one and hope she doesn't notice. :D

Got my email and number, but it does not show up on the Australia Post web site. Anyone else had success in tracking the item?

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Yippee,

Just bought mine also (hopefully Daren can post it for me tomorrow so I can play over the weekend)

One thing - forgot to leave a message in the Paypal checkout as to my forum nickname - does that matter?

Hmmm, I received "payment received" and "order received" emails on Monday night, but no "order despatched" yet. :(
Maybe the extra cable slowed it down a bit, although they are supposed to be in stock.

Edit: The email came within minutes of me posting this, and then I discovered the parcel was already here, sitting in reception, but no-one had thought to tell me!

Yeah, mine arrived today, and personally delivered to my desk.

Now all I have to do is try to get access to t4eh OBD port under the steering column. Have not had a good look yet in daylight, but any tips?

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Stick your head down in the footwell with a torch, and you'll see it straight away. :)

Is it exposed or under a cover?

Most of the libs I've seen have the port underneath on the right hand side behind the bonnet lever and back a bit and slightly recessed. On WRX/STI's its right in between your knees f$%^ing not the best  . If its in the middle though you just pop the female socket out of the surrounds connect it up and hide it all behind the cover nicely like I sort of said the other day

Exposed. Attached to the plastic panel under the dash, which is pretty flexible, so the socket moves as you plug in to it.
Pretty much in line with the brake pedal from memory, pointing almost straight down between your legs.

Thanks Ric,

I will have a good look tomorrow and see if it will fire up.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

Just to show how bad my memory is, it's actually to the right of the accelerator.
I'm still amazed how much the plastic panel it is attached to moves. Will have a closer look over the weekend to see if it's supposed to be attached a bit more firmly.
