Cool,
What I'll do is let everyone down this way have a look at it on the 23rd at the dyno day. I'm doing the same for the NSW WRX club at their annual dyno day here on the 22nd. After this If there's still 10 then each person can order it direct through Paypal using a note to indicate group buy pricing will. Judging by the interest there and here, there will be that many easily t.
The other thing if we wait till the 23rd the software should have evolved significantly.(I am actually expecting another upgrade tonight or tomorrow). We will be letting Daren use some of the proper scantools here to allow him to extend the capabilites of the unit.
Remember it doesn't ship with GPS software but "cough" its available though other avenues

Yeah i've been following it's development on RSLC as well, and i'm fairly keen. So put me down as a possible GB'er.

OK I'll get those of you how seriously want one of these at the group buy price to send me a PM. We have to get the magic number of 10 units for this to happen so only PM me expressing your intention to buy if your genuinely interested. When we get the numbers Daren will sort out the payment method and that side of things. Now, I have a couple of guys from the NSW WRX club who are keen plus a few who would like to see it in action on the two dyno days I have running next weekend which is fair enough. Thats the WRX clubs annual dyno day and the liberty guys from the other thread 8) .
The cut off will be after next weekend for everyone after that we can't take advantage of the generous GB extension that we have at the moment. So if you can let me know now we can see if its looking like happening.

Remember you can always buy this later individually at the non group buy price from Daren on his site

I'm buying one regardless no question plus another from the Rex club so thats 2,

If you need to call me or just to deep breathe down the phone just PM as well and I'll send you my number

Mark, has the price been confirmed we can't get the original 10 required for group buy?

My interest is price dependant……

I've been discussing this very thing with Daren this afternoon. I doubt that he will alter things although If we get another couple I think it would be worth his time. If we don't make it I'll get one at the $469 regardless but there are four of you that are buying it now because of the saving which is very much a valid point

6 now

I'm posting on Ricenet tonight to see if there are some serious parties over there to boost the numbers

Friday arvo is cutoff time.

Bumpage.

I tried on Ricenet but the mods pulled my post 5 minutes after It went up with no explanation. I'm guessing because they want some advertising fee off the sellers or something along those lines. I can't see any competitors in the field and it certainly shouldn't upset any vendors so I don't get it. I'm really disappointed given my support on that site since 2003. Maybe I'm out of their 'target audience' these days

We have 7 or 8 atm so I'll see what the deal is tomorrow. I'd better sell some stuff to fund my purchase

Yeah they have a strict no group buys policy BS going on.

I feel ya - dunno what it is with WRX owners these days, but I had similar experiences with the WRX club not wnating to promote my GB to its members either.

Funny - I find it soooo hypocritical the fact members join to be part of a community and to take advantage of contacts, community and experiences etc and the mods/committee now see it fit to censor what the club provides them :angry2:

Wouldn't have happened in my day of WRX ownership

We have no such issues at Perth-WRX. At this point I will buy two if it helps us get to 10 for the GB..
