OK no adaptor cable but of course you can purchase it. Theres a couple of reasons. In Some cars like the WRX's the connectors it right in the middle between your legs and the adaptor cable would work well BUT the plug recessed so it's useless unless you could extend the depth of the plug LOL.With the Liberty's depending on the location and the orientation of the OBDII socket the adaptor cable might point it toward the kick panel
I think the SD were 1GB although thats whats in the demo one I have and it is an older version. For the Sydney Guys (and Boxer) I may have to sort 8) the SD's for you to make your navigation requirements hassle free.

After chatting to Daren the cutoff has been extended to Monday the 31st which actually is probably better. Maybe guys here will get a gut load of booze into themselves on Saturday night and start signing their lives away  The Friday date was initially my suggestion after extending it from 3 weeks ago to cover the dyno days

I may have a guy from the ISP where I worked in for number 10 if he can make his mind up.
If anyone else wants one please add you name to the list

Ok, you got my attention, but I have a couple of questions before I commit.

1. I have an MY05 3.0R 5AT (manufacture date of Oct 2004). Will this unit work with my vehilce?
2. Is there a cable supplied? What length?
3. Does the supplied cable have a 90 degree connector for the mini-USB?
4. Has anyone successfully mounted in the double-DIN space of the centre dash storage unit? Any other mounting suggestions (pics please) other than windscreen?
5. Was the issue of interference with the FM Radio resolved?
6. In the hardware specs, no mention of the SD card interface, micro-SD or full SD? What is the maximum capacity SD card size?
7. Where do I obtain the iGo8 GPS software?
8. Can you alternate the use of SD cards (to ensure I always have a backup)?

If I get a good response to these questions, I will commit to the group buy on Monday 31 Aug 09, for $425.00 AUD. Id delivery to Melbourne included? Don't mind combining the delivery for a pickup meet.

Kind Regards,

Mark.

1 Yes
2 Yes, about 1.2 Metresish from memory. CBF going outside and measuring at the moment :) It *just* reached from the port under the mat and up the drivers side of the centre console to the airvent on the left of the cubby.
3 No, they are an option though, so maybe Daren will include it if you ask instead of the normal cable
4 Don't think anyone has, it doesn't fit in the cubby. It sort of perfectly fit on the TomTOm 730 vent mount, but the centre of gravity caused it to constantly fall out of the vents. I eventually gave up and stuck it on the glass.
5 Apparently there's cables coming that don't give gthe radio interference, I can't remember if they've arrived yet or not. I gotta swap mine.
6 Full SD, not SDHC support apparently, I never got around to testing but 2GB works fine - and is craploads of space for the satnav maps and logging for probably a hundred years. let's face it, you're not really going to use it for MP3's or music, are you ?
7 Ummmmm places... There's been offers in this thread...
8 Sure, go for your life. The good news is all the dashboard configurations are stored in the unit itself, only logs are written to the SD card. The GPS config is stored on the SD card though, so you'll have to reenter addresses and home destinations etc. Not quite sure what you'd need a backup for though...., what's your thoughts behind that ?

Cheers

Dwayne
