Just installed mine went from 14.4 to 14.8. I turned it around to see what would happen and it was up at 15.3ish and the battery/alternator light stayed on

Removed the diode and contact the vendor I'd say...
You should see around 14.5v on startup, dropping back to 14ish once warmed up.

If you have 14v anyway then you don't need the diode.
Mine was low 13s warmed up and is now 13.9-14.1v warmed up :)

I was considering fitting one until I checked my standard voltage levels... 14.2-14.5 even when warmed up. Car must have a stronger alternator than some others? Considering my battery says max voltage 14.8 having one of these diodes installed would probably go over that and battery could start outgassing.

What are your voltage levels without the diode?

Hmmm mine went from 13.9 to 14.6-8...

I wonder if a good thing or if cutting it too close...?

Well it's normal for startup...
Then it should settle at 14ish :)

Mine was down to 13ish.

This is not on start up, this is after 20mins driving....?

I normally have 13.9 as my very lowest after half hours drive, I was expecting to get 14.5, but it's quite steady at 14.7ish and often showing 14.8.

From what I gather of your response, that is good? :)

It dropped to 14.5 on idle after driving, about time!

Still sits at 14.8 during the actual driving though.

Overall pretty happy with this little mod, the extra voltage to the pump will definitely help :D

Thanks Benny, great find and effort (as always) :)
