The new Kap Industries fire extinguisher brackets for Subaru 89-14 are in!
$50 each posted special price for y'all :)

Use this link to PM me for the discount code!

Info here:
http://kapindustries.com.au/?product=wr ... er-bracket

PMing EOIs with the code now :)

Installed pics soooon :P

Basically the length of the bracket will be increased to give more room to move seats forward if required eg for rear seat comfort or for wagons if flipping the rear seats flat.
It will also allow for rigid plastic fire extinguisher mounts to be used, where those are supplied with your extinguisher.
The new brackets will be slotted across so no drilling will be required for mounting most extinguisher brackets.

OZFoz member Russgt (login req'd) has made custom laser cut fire extinguisher brackets, I think they're awesome!
russgt wrote:If we get 5 people per side we can send them for $XX + $X postage or send them all to one location perhaps cheaper?

20 people we will do for $XX +$X postage. I cant go much lower than that as they get up around that price to make.

If there are any people in Perth they can also get a fire extinguisher that is tagged with it for $XXX all up.

russgt wrote:It will fit GC8 as I have made the bracket
interchangeable. The holes are slightly slotted because some models,
(late model cars) have 415mm centre to centre holes, and older models
have 420mm.

russgt wrote:the reason I did the
bracket design this way was specifically to clear the amp hump in the
liberty. Then by coincidence I realised they fitted the wrx/foz etc.

Also the liberty pictured has full movement. It is close but still
works. (Dependant on fire extinguisher.) I recommend the 1kg Super Cheap
Auto ones that will be on sale in a week or 2 for $20 BTW.

I'm just posting this for russgt, plus I like this sorta bling ;)

Mat04 wrote:The only downside is you can't move the seat full forward as the extinguisher gets in the way.

I'm thinking 2x 1KG extinguishers for a little more clearance maybe.

Happy to be corrected but I don't think these will work in the Liberty as we have a hump for the amplifier wiring.. When I made my bracket I had to add in another pair of bends to clear this hump...

$3 from bunnings and you can make your own pretty easily and have full adjustment of the seat :)

Super long hose! Is it an extinguisher or a fire bomb?

Yeah it's an extinguisher. The hose is purely for looks
