Nice one :)
I'd say Russ is open to suggestions...
I got mine in today, electric passenger seat so no bar to interfere.
For my08+ I recommend nozzle end inwards as per Hyrax, and ensure the base of the bracket clears the plastic seat base...
I packed mine out with washers to attempt to clear the 3d floor mats.
So I either need longer bolts and spacers or trim the mats.

I used m5 x 10 stainless Allen nuts and nylocks which just engage, so a little counter sinking would be perfect.
The ext bracket is fairly beefy so the extra reinforcing washers are probably not required :)

Cheers. Yeah, I emailed Russ to let him know how my fitment went. Any feedback is good feedback and he can make a good product even better with his next revision. Not his fault that Liberty's come with so many different seat designs. :) Meantime it gives me some motivation to find an electric passenger seat as my next upgrade. :)

Indeed - the main reason for that is to avoid any mishaps from passengers getting into the car - don't want the key accidentally pulled out or the nozzle damaged.

My rubber mats have a large lip on them to contain spillages, and thus it doesn't fit under the extinguisher but that's not so bad.

I found the holder frame that comes with the Bunnings extinguisher is great - very stiff and rigid against the Kap bracket with a solid grip on the extinguisher. I drilled the holes with a 3/16" drill bit, popped in two 3/16" x 1/2" screws with a single pair of 3/16" washers and nuts (also from Bunnings), and was very satisfied with the result. Clean and tight, and the screws were the perfect length without needing any modification either!
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

Received mine today, finally! Damn you Darwin postage times...

Any tips/tricks on clearing the 3D mats BBB?

A test fit this afternoon revealed that they may pose an issue

I put a few washers between the bracket and the seat mount to add a little clearance.
The 3D Mats normally cover the seat bolts but I just slid the end of the mat as far towards the seat as it would go and the mat kinda conformed to the footwell.

Or just cut the mat. The bracket is here to stay...

It should - my seat is manual and everything clears except the adjustment bar. The electric seats are physically about the same dimensions, and don't have that bar.

I screwed an extinguisher to the floor of my BA XR6 (wifes car) and my old 03 RS Impreza using the bracket that came with them, and they both cleared with no probs. Plenty of room in both cars.
When I tried the same bracket with the Lib, i couldn't get it to clear the seat. I'm hoping this bracket fits, without having to drill holes in the floor and risk any amp wiring or anything else.

If someone has fitted the bracket to an MY08 can they please confirm or deny?

Here's mine as installed... LOVE IT

Really easy to remove the ext to give it a shake.
I jammed a little folded cardboard into the levers hinge to quell the rattling over bumps so now it's completely silent.

The 3D Mat is pushed forward about 2 inches but still conforms nicely to the footwell.

Since the Ballers are now U16's and already over 6' they are going to want to push the passenger front seat all the way forward...

So I'll be re-drilling the bracket to clear this bit of the seat base.

I'm looking into getting a manual seat version made to clear the adjuster bar - can anyone confirm how much of an extension would be appropriate compared to the stock KAP bracket? e.g.: +5cm etc...
