Whats a reasonable price to expect to pay for a fire extinguisher? Im tossing up whether i can afford this. Also do fire extinguishers work ok in the heat like not gonna pop on me etc.?

I'm using basic SCA extinguishers with supplied wire brackets.
Just shake em up every few months eg when cleaning floor mats.

As with most things, you can go nuts with motorsport versions, research here:

Hello Guys,

Wow thats fantastic feedback! I, along with BBB had been developing the new version to be much better! I am really glad you all like it!

I recommend and use the Super cheap Auto CAMS approved extinguishers. The ones with a metal strap around them. That way in case of an accident, like a roll over the bottle is firmly held in the bracket. You can only use that type at the track too as far as i am aware.

I just got about 20 of them on sale from SCA for $19 each. Just wait for a sale. They have them all the time.

If you guys can put them in your build threads that would help me out heaps!

Regards,

Russell Kap :D

Just put my order in. Word of mouth is the best advertising especially with first hand feedback

If not, I'll do it myself

Mine showed up Yesterday.
Perfect finish & a generally great looking bit of kit (same as the first design).

Now to get my car back from the insurance so I can fit it up. 8)

Received mine yesterday and installed them. Good fitting but needed to bend them up a little due to the rubbers mats. :)

I put a few washers behind my brackets for 3D mats clearance.
Overall a tight fit is good for holding those mats down IMHO.

Thanks for the updates :)

Im Glad you like it!

I actually made them out of a thinner metal to have that ability. They bend into shape easily but still VERY strong.

Thankyou guys!

Installed my bracket today, needed a slight bending to fit over the floor mat but otherwise fits perfect

What's the concensus?
Should eg the bend point be moved slightly upwards by a few mm?

Or is a tighter fit, as supplied, desirable? :)

If you aren't running mats then it's perfect but if you do it's still super easy to bend it up a little to clear it. I like the tight fit for the mat too, stops passengers moving it around :)

I was going to say WTF, but I realised you're from the NT, so thongs is basically formal footwear ;)
