Fire extinguishers should be factory fitted, as should wristy gloves.

Want to see some recommendations for awesome extinguishers: the best compound and long hoses :)

OP UPDATED ;)

FYI the KAP ext brackets are currently for passenger side only.

I have requested a drivers side version for those who like it both ways ;)

I would never put anything in the drivers side footwell. Last thing you want is something potentially stuck under your brake pedal ;)

Jake I'd be ziptieing that one down, probably. Its a worstcase scenario spare. 8)

russgt wrote:the reason I did the
bracket design this way was specifically to clear the amp hump in the
liberty. Then by coincidence I realised they fitted the wrx/foz etc.

Also the liberty pictured has full movement. It is close but still
works. (Dependant on fire extinguisher.) I recommend the 1kg Super Cheap
Auto ones that will be on sale in a week or 2 for $20 BTW.

This.

In my other cars I mounted them to the seat, not the floor.
Stole the idea from Mercedes Benz. :)

Never had one brake loose.

Not to say it couldn't happen but I like the idea of having it within easy reach.

I did mean to ziptie as an additional failsafe for the ext bracket ;)
Great excuse to have a rescue/hammer/cutter thing in the car as well.

Hoping the vendor can mirror image these for the drivers side mounting location.

If the vendor can't I'm sure there is someone who is a fabricator on here that could mirror the design
owner and operator of offset Custom welding and fabrications.

Put me down for two passenger side units, thanks. I'll give one to my brother as an Xmas gift (assuming we can get them made before then!).

I used to have extinguishers in the Rex for years. Never had to use them, but there's been moments where, as jaydece says, it could have potentially saved someone but in my case someone else pulled theirs out first.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...
