Ok here are my thought on the Grom.
Ive got the Grom IPD3 with Bluetooth addon. I'm using it with an iPhone 5 although i did have to purchase a lightning to 30 pin adapter.
Phone calls are clear and I am surprised that calls can be made with windows fully open. The mic is located at the top of the A pillar. Calls are managed via steering wheel controls. Next track answers, previous track ends and rejects. Incoming call waiting calls can also be answered and switched using next track, but I am yet to test this. Mute will mute the other person but they can still hear you.
Siri can be invoked by double pressing the RPT button on the HU, and all of Siri's functions are available through Bluetooth. Although I find double pressing RPT sometimes resets the Bluetooth connection.
Tomtom app works very well. Music is automatically muffled whenever instructions or alerts are given. I'd say it would be the same for all nav apps.
Music SQ is on par with CD, although my comparison is not valid as both source files are the same (mp3s @ 320 kbps). But its alot better than radio.
My only gripe is that track info does not display on the HU, but it seems to be working for another forum member viewtopic.php?p=295594#p295594 So I'm not sure if its an issue with the Grom or the iphone 5. I wll have to get my hands on another iphone/ipod to check.
Overall I'm very happy with the Grom and would recommend it to anyone. Installation is fairly simple, and I'd think there would be number of different locations for mic/unit/cable to suit your personal preference.

For postage put an extra $10 i will put your change in the bag with you iteams so its :)
but other wise I'm in Wollongong every second weekend or mount kuring gai during the week and live in pennant hills so most of the Sydney people people should be covered

They are also out of stock from the U2P -SUB 08 box but should have them in stock when they re open on the 5th of June
ok note that cushie audio is closed from the 15 of may to the 4 of June so there may be a small wait

Please be aware if you have a PF-28241 HU some features at this stage do not work on the HU or SWC with the USB Grom . from what I read on some treads the iPod Grom does seem work
The supplier is talking to the manufacturer about the problem but as they don't have a HU to test it on it will take some time for a firmware fix

For anyone who is using an Android phone, I cant use the SWC to answer/hang up or skip tracks and I even downloaded the AALinq app from the play store. I've got the PF-28241 h/u as well.

Both the USB and iPod grom do not work fully (well in my car anyway) there is not SWC or HU control to answer or hang up calls

Is this GB still open?

Still not entirely sure what I need. I have the Kenwood gx204-kh (on the poverty pack so no SWC), an Iphone 5 and want to talk/stream via bluetooth. I would be keen to get on board.

Hi all, if anyone is after a cushie USB grom with bluetooth dongle I have a brand new one left over from the group buy. I bought 2 put one in the wife's car it has the kenwood system in it, works quite well but I have decided to not install the other one on McIntosh system. Although I haven't even tried installing it apparently it glitches on my system and considering I have mp3 capability and a parrot Bluetooth I have decided not to fuck with a good thing. So if anybody is interested pm me. Thanks.
