Think Craig is checking with them - as I'd prefer to go with something I do know and I'm using Advan sports ATM. Only thing is I'm unsure of size to avoid scrubbing. Currently 215/45/18 on the specB wheels. I'm assuming 225/40/18 will be safe plus a slightly wider stance?

Depends on your ride height and offset too but I would imagine 225 would be ok on 8" +42 unless you are quite low.

I'll be swapping my 215/40/18 KU31's onto them, if I go ahead with it...

Should be fine on 18x8 yeah ?

I would prefer to run with the tyres I posted earlier too.

I just don't want to be stuck with sh1t quality cheap and dangerous in the wet tyres again. Did that on the wrx and will never do that again.

I would need some quality guarantees,or an exchange policy if they are crap... Will know pretty bloody quick if they are cheap sh1t.!!
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better

NOPE..... That's shit too. Bus anyone??

Thanks Perry,  I have put that to the guys, I currently have 3 confirmed (myself included). Unfortunately I can no longer get tyres. Wife said no as we are expecting our first child this week. But she is allowing me to get rims. :)The guys getting tyres would like prices of the following:
To suit the 19's
Hankook Ventus V12 K110
Kumho Ku31
Avanza sport 2 (they guy interested in these is unsure of the quality compared to the Kumho's so if he was to get the Avanza he wants to know what guarantee there is if he doesnt like them?)

To suit 18's
Yokohama Advan Sport

At this stage im looking to submit the order on 4/4/13.
In terms of payment I will get the guys to transfer the money to me. If you do up invoice I can pay for it by paypal etc. how would you prefer? I would also send an email listing who has ordered what rims/addresses etc. so that postage can be sorted. How does that sound?

Clarity of prices and details.

Another email from Takuma.
"If the guy looking at the 18" yokohama was to go with them it would be $1300 plus the discount price of rims.

For instance, $1300(tyre no more discount because yokohama is not our brand)+$846(10%discount)= $2146

Guys with just rims get 10% discount including GST, Delivery, Nuts, Hub Rings, Caps.

That would be replacement guarantee for TRACMAX Tyres. Cheers

Perry"

Boys,
I have decided to give it a miss for the moment. Worried about the +42 offset with the 19x8.5. If I can't go 1 up 1 out I'd rather stick with my enkei's. Going to look at other wheels and if all else fails I have a name of a guys who can pump the guards. But I'd rather not if I can help it.

I like to throw my car around a lot, don't like scrubbing! :o

Very good price on wheels!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, anyone worried about scrubbing of the 19x8.5 + 42 let me say this...

Unless you are running crazy low (as I was) then you won't have issues with scrubbing - even when running a low height i dont remember having any problems. A 42 offset is not all that aggressive. All you would need is your guards rolled and you will be fine. A 225/35/19 tyre will be perfect for it. If you go wider then you may find scrubbing might become an issue.

Nick ..just cause I know nothing about wheels + tryes...

So if a 19x8.5 is safe with 225/35/19....in my case..running Kings (not superlows) on Billies - will I be okay with 225/45/18, or reduce the profile slightly, OR run the same rubber I'm running now? Just hoping I don't have to roll guards. But if I have to I guess I will.

Quick, someone call Red Bull Racing!

Just a heads up, Tirerack can now ship all brands except Toyo and Yokohama to Australia. Freight to Australia is about $400 for a set of 4.

These links are worth a look:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... 4WR8RE11XL

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... um=24WR8Z2

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... 4YR8P0XLV3

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... 24YR8PSSXL

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... 4YR8F1A2XL

In the size you guys would be looking at (225/40R18), the PZero is a freak of a tyre. It has a 238mm tread width (made in Italy model).

Note those tyres above all have a 92 load rating. Some in that size will be 88, which is not sufficient for a Liberty.
