GB closed (not going ahead): Tactrix Open Port 2.0

Hi All

I'm closing this group buy as the only savings to be made are in shipping costs (which is only $25 USD).

The cost of shipping interstate etc kinda negates the whole thing.

However, I've attached below a summary of interested parties by state, in case you still want to go ahead with a group buy within your state:

NSW
Geno (monmong77)
Henry (rrussh)
Alex (alessandro132)
tuned sti
Me

VIC
ndlibgt (Nelson)

QLD
zch91

SA
Daniel (mynameisdaniel)
Ben (Wheeliebin)

Good luck!

Hi folks

After speaking to a few forum members whom I know are interested, just looking to see who would be interested in buying a tactrix openport 2.0?

Was going to order direct from the tactrix website... the cart has a limit of 3, so I'll need to email them to enquire about bigger order numbers

price is $169 USD, and then share of shipping costs on that.

I'll ask to see what the deal is re discount. Otherwise, at least this thread may help identify who else in your state/city may also be interested and we can sort it in mini-group buys per state to save a few dollars on shipping

http://www.tactrix.com/index.php?page=s ... &Itemid=53

So far, including me:
Geno (monmong77)
Henry (rrussh)
Alex?

Register your interest/keenness here so I can get a feel for numbers

I'm in providing it will log from my ECU. I don't see why it shouldn't but tactrix don't support it.

Will it work out cheaper? As you'd still have postage to Aus, then local postage to individuals. I think postage direct was only like $20. I'd ask if there's a discount if we buy 5 or maybe 10 cables.

But if it is cheaper I'm in :)

Simon, I'm interested but it's pending cash flows (I've got a lot coming up in the pipeline for the next month )

Put me down as a maybe for the device + the extension cable if we can get some sort of discount :)

Noob question...... You need the listed adapter also? Then just a standard 2.0 USB cable?

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure either Mark (noob myself). You do need the adapter for "reflashing" (according to the website), but I was just happy to use it for no more than SD-card logging

I didnt get to have a close look at Matt's (KiDo) tactrix, but it looked like theres a USB slot in the back.

You don't need any adapters for our cars.

Yep just wack it right in to the OBD port, found under the steering wheel, close to the bonnet release.

The plug on the back of the Tactrix is USB Mini-B, commonly found on digi cameras, and other stuff.

They can be found anywhere, woolies, Dick Smith, ebay, etc but I think the tactrix comes with one
