are you suggesting instead of going ahead with the GB, we will be better off buying one ourselves?
Im happy with whichever way you decide to go about this Rome :)

Well I've never been one to chase pennies, I just don't see it being worth everyone's time or my own to save what could end up being around $10-$15 in shipping...just doesn't seem logical to go through the effort for a 2-3% saving.
That's why I recommend the members who want OpenPort 2.0 with an extension, order it individually shipped to your address, no hassle. For the members that just want the extension cord I'm working out whether it is more cost effective for
them to have it sent in one order then on shipped from there.

Jerome,

like you said, looks like its not worth the hassle, count me out and i'll get the extension cable myself as i think i might end up buying a new open port 2 as mine is looking pretty average (as i knocked it around a fair bit)..

I'm going to close this group buy now. Thanks for the interest guys.

Information for people who are interested:

If you buy 2 OpenPort 2.0 and 2 extension cables shipping is around $25 USD, which is the same as one of each, so you'd save $12.50 if you have a friend you can buy with, if you live near each other this works.

It's probably a bit late posting this now, but when I bought my Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable, I didn't need to get the ODB-II extension lead because the unit itself already comes with a generously long USB cable (same as an external HDD cable, just longer) which more than easily reaches from the ODB-II port, over the steering wheel and to a laptop sitting on the passenger seat, with length to spare.

So I take it you can just plug it into a normal USB extension lead as well?

Yep - it's a normal USB to Mini-USB connection as seen on just about any external laptop-sized portable HDD (not the Micro-USB connection you see on mobile phones).
